Scott is a dynamic leader with over 17 years experience driving profitable growth across manufacturing, contracting and commercial distribution businesses. He has held positions of increasing responsibility in general management with P&L responsibility, business development, and sales management. Scott possesses niche expertise in Detention Equipment and Security Doors/Frames/Hardware having worked in the correctional industry for 10 years. Scott also proudly served as an Air Defense Artillery Officer for the United States Army - Europe.
Steve Barnish Chief Financial Officer
Steve oversees all aspects of finance and human resources for the purpose of strategically maximizing Amweld's resources during these financial trying times to ensure uncompromising quality products and services for our customers while maximizing profitability for investors.
Directly prior to joining Amweld, Steve was the CFO for Vinmar International, a global chemicals and plastics trading & distribution company. Before Vinmar he was the CFO for Chemical Lime Company, a mining & chemical company and the CFO of Duferco Steel, Inc, a steel trading, distribution and manufacturing group. Steve graduated from Montclair State University in New Jersey with a BS in Accounting and also from Fairleigh Dickenson University with an MBA in Finance. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Darren Ward Sr. Vice President of Operations
Darren is responsible for all aspects of operations to include manufacturing, distribution, customer service, project management, and information technology. Darren contributes a combination of supply chain, business process, and technology expertise that enables Amweld to continually improve services to exceed customer expectations.
Darren has over 16 years of experience across manufacturing, strategy consulting, information technology and order fulfillment driving strategic shifts in supply chains and customer service by leveraging new technologies coupled with innovative process change across several industries to include commercial manufacturing, distribution, retail, consumer goods, and logistics service providers. Darren holds an MBA and a Masters degree in Manufacturing Engineering and served as a Military Intelligence officer in the US Army.
C.M. "Chuck" Gerber Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Chuck will implement the strategic and tactical sales and marketing plans through the internal and external sales team to service the US and International Amweld and Firedoor customer base.
Chuck has 34 years of sales and marketing experience in the building material business. He spent 25 years with National Gypsum Company with increasing responsibilities through Director of National Accounts and General Manager of a business unit. Chuck was responsible for $500 million in annual sales in the national account position. Recently he has worked with several companies implementing strategies through distribution to the commercial market in the plumbing segment and with structural insulated products. Chuck holds an MBA and served in the US Marine Corps.
Mike Kolovich Vice President of Engineering
Mike manages product engineering, certification testing, industry compliance, and drives new research and development of creative solutions to keep Amweld on the leading edge of innovation in the door and hardware industry.
Mike has 16 years of engineering, product development, and manufacturing experience specific to the commercial door and hardware industry. Mike holds an engineering degree from Kent State University.
Duane Dean Sr. Director of IT & Supply Chain
Duane has responsibility for the Coppell Distribution Center, Business Process Alignment, Supply Chain activities and the daily management of the IT functions at Amweld. Duane has over 15 years experience in project management, consulting, telecommunications, procurement automation, logistics platform integration, and Global IT management. At Amweld, Duane leverages a breadth of industry best practice knowledge to drive systems/process improvements to simplify the overall business flow. Additionally, he holds the post of Safety Director for the US based facilities.
Duane has resided and held various professional positions in Australia, Canada and the United States. He holds a Bachelor of Business from Swinburne University of Technology, in Melbourne, Australia.
